Cell biologist, Dr Graeme Finlay, provides a concise explanation of the compatibility between evolutionary science and Christian theology in this 46-page booklet. He provides a framework for understanding the dual truths of scientific discovery and biblical revelation.

This publication will be appreciated by all thinking Christians, but is a “must-read” for secondary students going on to tertiary science study.

About the author

Dr Graeme Finlay obtained his PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Auckland. He is a recently retired senior lecturer in Scientific Pathology in the Department of Molecular Medicine and Pathology at the University of Auckland and has worked on anti-cancer drug development for 20 years. As a Christian and a scientist Graeme is devoted to both and sees in them a natural compatibility. He writes out of a concern that suspicion of science and the evolutionary process is harmful to the Christian cause. His other publication include: The Gospel according to Dawkins (London: Austin Macauley, 2017); Human Evolution: Genes, Genealogies and Phylogenies (CUP, 2013); and contributions to approximately 100 articles on anti-cancer drug development. Graeme is a Fellow of the International Society of Science and Religion.
