Prayer in our various worship traditions is often words-based, whether spoken, read or heard. 5 Senses to Prayer provides alternative entry points to a prayerful approach to everyday life, using objects and activities readily available or able to be found or purchased easily.
Engaging the senses, the book offers prayers based on Sight, Taste, Touch, Smell and Hearing. The prayers are grouped according to sense and then type of prayer: Praise & Adoration, Thanksgiving, Confession, Intercession, Petition/Supplication and Responding. Additional practical and creative information is provided alongside each prayer, designed to enrich the possibilities and ways the prayer can be used in a variety of settings.
